When do I schedule my newborn session?
Congratulations!! You just found out your family is growing. This is the moment you have been praying for, and your family is thrilled. Finally your mom will stop asking when are you giving her a grandchild. Enjoy these moments!! I am so excited for you, and would love to be a part of your 9 month journey.Typically I recommend that you select your photographer when you start your 2nd trimester. At this point you have a general theme or color scheme and can start envisioning the nursery with the comfy glider, gorgeous crib, and the oh so precious canvas of your baby hanging on the wall. Perhaps you are ready to get those wedding photos out of your living room and replaced with images of you holding your sweet baby in your arms. During your 2nd trimester is also when you start going a little over board at Hobby Lobby, I've seen you there....buying all those tiny little knick-knacks that perfectly fit your theme. During your pre-session consultation with me, we will start talking about how you want to enjoy the fleeting moments that we capture during your newborn session. If you are dreaming about the prefect leather-bound Heirloom album, a beautiful canvas, and those adorable birth announcements- I would recommend stepping away from the knick-knacks and putting your money towards the art we are going to create at your newborn session.
